Shyla began her career as a Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, and quickly learned she could combine her love for people and technology by shifting to a technical role that worked directly with customers. As her career progressed, she continued to pursue opportunities that leveraged her passion for both.

In addition to her BS in Computer Science from Iowa State University, she has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University with an emphasis in marketing and organizational behavior. 

Shyla has held a number of corporate leadership roles (from manager up to VP) in engineering, marketing, product management and human resources. Regardless of the role, she has always been passionate about developing the people who worked for her. This made her move to Executive Coaching and Leadership Development both natural and fulfilling.

She is the founder of Allard Consulting Group and has over 14 years of experience as an Executive Coach, helping dozens of leaders increase their skills and grow into expanded roles and responsibilities.

Shyla brings a wealth of knowledge from both her experience and education that makes a positive impact by helping her clients be better leaders. In her coaching engagements, she leverages strengths in listening, communication, development, strategizing, planning, technology, and organizational structure, but the icing on the cake is her passion for helping leaders get clarity on their authentic leadership and accelerate their career growth.
