Shyla Allard – Executive Coach and Consultant / Founder


Shyla Allard founded the Allard Consulting Group because of her own passion and motivation to make a positive shaping influence in her clients’ career development and in organizations. She has worked with CEOs, executive teams, individuals and students to help them grow by providing leadership consulting and coaching that is grounded in finding the “sweet spot” that represents their unique motivations and passions.


With more than twenty years of experience in the corporate world working in both large and small, private and public companies, Shyla brings a wealth of knowledge, planning and experience to each client engagement. She has been recognized as a superior leader and manager of employees and has experience in building and shaping the development of many individuals throughout her career. Shyla also has a passion for working with young adult students and has many clients in the Millennial generation.


Shyla is a certified SimaCentered® coach with SIMA International and has extensive experience in leadership development of individuals and teams. She is also certified in administering the EQi 2.0, an emotional intelligence assessment tool, and has experience in strategic planning and goal setting.


Shyla and her team provide executive coaching and consulting services to a variety of clients in all stages of their careers, to help them lead authentically by leveraging their motivations and strengths. Foundational to their coaching is the System for Identifying Motivated Abilities® (SIMA) which identifies one’s unique gifts and skills through analysis of one’s achievements over the course of his or her life.


Shyla has a Masters of Management (MBA) with emphasis in organizational behavior and marketing from Northwestern University, The J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  Her undergraduate degree is from Iowa State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science, majoring in computer science and minoring in speech communications.  Shyla and her husband, Todd, of 24 years, have two teenage boys.

Melissa Phillips – Executive Coach Associate


Melissa Scott Phillips has loved people all her life.  She is a fan of one-on-one relationships where important life topics are discussed.  She has been working with teams of people in the computer industry since 1991. Her roles have spanned customer service to technology expert to product marketing but no matter what the position she has always found herself in the very middle of a team and energized to create positive team dynamics and good working relationships.


Melissa has lead countless software training seminars around the world in multi-cultural environments and has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of people from developers to sales people to manufacturing personnel.  She has 15+ years of experience leading small groups of women to increased self-awareness.


Melissa graduated from Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Psychology. She is certified in MCore, an on-line strengths-based assessment based on past achievements and also provides consulting using the System for Identifying Motivated Abilities (SIMA).    Additionally, Melissa is certified in Element B, a team behavior assessment process and in administering the EQi 2.0, an emotional intelligence assessment tool.  She has been married to Rick for 15 years and they have 4 growing children.

 

Don Kiehl – Analyst


Don Kiehl, also known as “The Motivational Analyst”, is an internationally recognized expert in the field of job fit.  He has 24 years of experience in helping individuals discover their strengths and find their place in the market and their purpose in life.  He assists businesses, universities, non-profits, and NGOs in evaluating and better understanding their people, so that an organization can be more successful in selecting, managing, developing, promoting, and making the best use of the gifts each employee brings to the enterprise.


Don is a member company of the SIMA International family of companies, each of them using the unique System for Indentifying Motivated Abilities to help people find their future through a guided exploration of their history of achievement and satisfaction.  A master interviewer and perceptive listener, he has personally taken over 2000 individuals through this one-of-a-kind process.


Don has a wonderful wife, two grown children, and six grandchildren.  Before joining SIMA in 1990, he had worked as a radio talk show host, an executive recruiter, a pastor, a furniture mover, a sports magazine proofreader, a bank courier, and an over-the-phone opera ticket salesman.  His interests include reading widely (he has a history degree), writing songs (he plays the piano), traveling (he has friends around the world), and baseball.
